Valerie Chudy named Reimer Volunteer for 2012
Valerie Chudy of Orland Park was named the 2012 winner of Together We Cope’s “Theodore Reimer Volunteer of the Year” award during TWC’s annual Volunteer Brunch Dec. 4. This year’s event was at Bartolini’s Restaurant in Midlothian and honored 150 volunteers who work in all facets of TWC’s operation. Valerie was honored for her work with several TWC fundraisers throughout the year. She and her brother, Gil Hannon, also organize the annual Race Around the World Duathlon that benefits Together We Cope each summer. Kathryn Straniero, executive director of TWC, thanked volunteers for the thousands of hours they give to the agency every year in all departments. “We could not operate Together We Cope without the combined wisdom and hard work that our volunteers bring to this agency,” she said.
